Mildura is a very neat and pleasant town situated inland approximately 557 km north of Melbourne on the Sturt Highway.  The Murray River supplies water for irrigation of the farms in the area which are mainly citrus growing and vineyards including Lindermans one of the largest winieries in the Southern Hemisphere.
